Background Information
Steamfitters Local 439 has been mainly involved in the heavy industrial pipefitting and welding while still serving the community within our jurisdiction in all it's commercial needs with HVACR techs for over a hundred years. We strive for excellence in our craftsmanship which is created throughout our 5 year apprenticeship.
Why we want to hire veterans
The veterans of the United States Millitary are a great adition to any UA local because the groundwork and responsibility framework has been established and the transition to the construction field is almost seemless.
What we currently do for veterans at our company
We currently have many members who served in the millitary so we support groups like Helmets to Hard Hats and the Veterans in Piping programs beacsue we have seen the positive transtion of ex- millitary into the trades. We also work with our apprentices to utilize the GI Bill while in the Apprenticeship.
