Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.Job Description:* Challenge existing methods and drive improvements for higher throughput, higher quality, and improved integration with existing production methods* Support engineering and science teams researching and constructing innovative solutions* Support the development, construction, deployment, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems for domestic and international laboratory, production, and agricultural environments* Support the startup and functional testing of working prototypes to validate system performance compared to requirements.Qualifications & Competencies:* Associate Degree or B.Sc.in Engineering/Science* 1-3 yrs. experience* Basic fabrication, including cutting, drilling, fitting components, and supporting mechanical prototype builds.* Experience using hand and power assembly tools to build, modify, and support electrical and mechanical assemblies.* Experience operating electrical test equipment to verify continuity,* Experience using standard office productivity software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint* Willing to work on-site full time* Willingness to travel up to 15% of timeExperience in the following areas is a plus:* Experience using a broad range of fabrication and assembly tools/equipment; hand, power, soldering, cutting, welding, grinding, and drilling* Experience using electrical test equipment; digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.* PCB component level soldering and troubleshooting* Programming and using single-board microcontrollers/computers* Programming with higher-level languages* Operating milling and drilling machines, and lathesPPE Requirements: Safety glasses, no open-toed shoes, lab coat, glovesWorking Conditions: Laboratory, production, and agricultural environments, and on-site full-time work.Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
