Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer (PFMEA & Documentation)Pay Rate: $33.00-40.00 per hourLocation: Rockford, IL 61016Area Code: 779Shift: 1stHire Type: Direct, full-time, full benefits#pfmea #aerospacemanufacturing #engineeringjobsJob Overview:The Manufacturing Process Engineer (PFMEA & Documentation) is responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing process documentation, PFMEAs, work instructions, and material handling procedures that support safe, efficient, and standardized production. This role partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to support process control, product introductions, and ongoing production readiness.Key Responsibilities:* Create, maintain, and update PFMEAs for assigned product lines. * Lead cross-functional PFMEA reviews and risk assessments. * Update documentation following engineering changes, process improvements, quality events, and customer requirements. * Develop and maintain work instructions and Shipping Job Instruction Sheets (JIS). * Ensure documentation accurately reflects manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements. * Support employee training on updated processes and instructions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process consistency, quality, and efficiency.Core Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in engineering* Exposure to CAD tools, ideally Siemens NX CAD or SolidWorks CAD* Exposure to manufacturing processes and production workflows.* Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities.* Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is requiredPreferred Skills:* Experience creating and maintaining PFMEAs. * Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred. * Experience developing manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
