You will be a valuable to resource to staff Registered Nurses on our Med Surg unit E100 while also delivering high quality patient care. This is a 48 bed unit providing patient care to post surgical, oncology and other med surg patients.

Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Day Shift available: 7a - 7p

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.​  ​​The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.​​​ 

· ​Applies principles of cardiac and medical-surgical nursing in providing patient care.

· ​Maintains a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment commonly used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

· ​Provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.

· ​Provides pre-operative and post-operative patient teaching and education related to specific surgical procedures or adaptations in health status resulting from treatment.

- Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

- Assists with admission and discharge process to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing, Required​

• 3+ years applicable experience, Preferred​

• State of New Hampshire RN License

  Basic Life Support (BLS), 30 days​

  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), 30 days​
