Senior Financial Management Analyst, CG-0501-13

This position is located in the Chief Financial Officer's Organization of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and is responsible for the developing and implementing financial systems for the retrieval and reporting of accounting data relative to management of the Corporation's financial operations. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill similar vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.


Represent Financial Operations with other senior staff members and participate in studying, designing, revising, and installing other procedural requirements related to the financial system activities of the Corporation. Responsible for the system support needs of the Section and the accounting systems and system interfaces to ensure the timely and accurate flow of data for control and reporting. Provide ad hoc reporting on financial data. Develop and prepare highly complex analytical reports related to accounting and financial information. Participate in the installation of the new procedural system and monitors results. Review and produce written evaluation on Corporation policy changes impacting financial management needs.


Requirements

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing financial data systems and reporting processes to ensure data quality and compliance; and applying financial or accounting regulations, policies and procedures to evaluate program operations and recommend improvements.
