SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE VICTIM ADVOCATE

- You will perform essential victim services, advocacy, and support related duties.
- You will provide a non-clinical response that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented, and without prejudice to adult victims of sexual assault.
- You will demonstrate expertise in offering comprehensive guidance to victims on reporting options, explaining exceptions and limitations, and ensure understanding of the eligibility criteria for additional counsel.
- You will perform a series of complex assessments using trauma-informed approaches for all reports of adult sexual assault.
- You will implement mandatory standardized risk screening protocols to address immediate risk and safety concerns and apply strategies to develop tailored interventions that address the needs of individual victims.
- You will provide each victim tailored comprehensive referrals to on-installation and off-installation resources to include victim advocacy, legal, and medical/mental healthcare.
- You will develop and maintain ongoing working relationships with available military and civilian resources to aid with the process of providing a warm hand-off telephonically, virtually, or in-person, with the victim's consent and preference.
- You will collaborate and consult with other SAPR personnel on the installation to ensure effective service delivery, manage caseloads, and meet reporting requirements.
- You will facilitate the planning, scheduling, and delivery of SAPR training for stakeholders and local populations, covering SAPR policies, procedures, reporting, and other topics in compliance with DoD and Service policy.
- You will establish/ maintain connections with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, legal professionals, healthcare providers, Chaplains, Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce members, leaders, and community organizations.
Requirements
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing sexual assault advocacy services; developing and implementing crisis plan of actions and sexual assault assistance plans; assisting with developing and coordinating command SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/seminars.
