Shape Up NYC Outreach Coordinator
*ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES*Major Responsibilities- Under general direction of the Director of Citywide Fitness, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, coordinate Shape Up NYC fitness and recreation programming citywide. - Manage fitness classes, including scheduling between instructors and host sites, updating the website and Shape Up NYCs internal databases, and creating progress reports regularly.- Manage Shape Up NYCs outreach efforts, including leading an outreach strategy, outreach to instructors and creating content for Shape Ups social media. - Coordinate special public events and private training sessions for fitness instructors. - Manage community partnerships and host site collaboration.- Gather feedback, photos, and videos through regular site visits and check-ins. - Establish action plans, set goals and ensure deadlines are met.Work Location: Arsenal North, ManhattanHow to Apply: Go to cityjobs.nyc.gov and search for Job ID# 795921. Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above. Experienced (non-manager)
