Laquinta Gantt

Greetings! My name is Laquinta (Quin) Gantt. I am a recently transitioned United States Army Veteran. Prior to my military service, I served as an HR assistant aiding in recruitment, payroll, and benefits administration functions for a South Carolina state government agency in a temporary capacity. I later gained permanent status as a human resources specialist for a social service agency performing recruitment and placement tasks then laterally transferred into a human resources generalist role for more than three years. During my transition from the military earlier this year, I began employment with the State of Texas' Military Department where I serve as the classification and compensation specialist for the agency analyzing and researching wage data to aid management in making determinations regarding employees' compensation while also ensuring positions are classified appropriately. I hold the following two professional certifications: Society for Human Resources-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Professional in Human Resources. I also possess a bachelor's in business administration and a master's degree in human resources management. My core strengths include recruitment, benefits administration, classification and compensation. The human resources field is my passion and I am eager to find a position that is challenging, affords me an opportunity to learn and grow, and effectively utilizes my skillsets for the benefit of the organization.
