About the Program We are a four year apprenticeship training program for the Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers, Local 82, in Spokane, WA. Our apprenticeship program, referred to as Local 82 JATC stands for "Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee" and is available to provide training to individuals interested in becoming journeymen mechanical insulators. The JATC is responsible for preparing highly skilled, competent and productive journeymen that will have a thorough knowledge of the insulation trade. Under the supervision of journey-level trade professionals, our students learn all aspects of this highly skilled occupation. While working towards the goal of becoming a journeyman, apprentices are paid a respectable wage while both working and receiving on-going classroom instruction. 4 year program 4 weeks per year Learning the history and all aspects of mechanical insulation.
