Job Summary and Qualifications

The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. This role is responsible for performing women's imaging exams and assisting with basic departmental functions and goals. 

What You Will Do In This Role: 

  • You will perform a variety of technical procedures including women's imaging exams 
  • You will demonstrate the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Validation Checklist 
  • You will display courteous behavior and cooperative relationships with customers and co-workers 
  • You will tactfully and diplomatically communicate with patients and other departments even during stressful times you will work to maintain a productive and friendly work environment 
  • You will participate in performance improvement activities 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • RT(R)(M)(ARRT) required; must be obtained prior to start date 
  • 1-2 years of experience in Mammo preferred

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 159-bed facility providing quality healthcare to Sumner and surrounding counties for more than 45 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a designated Level III Trauma Center.
