SUPPLY TECHNICIAN
You will serve as a Supply Technician within NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.
- You will order provisions, and fresh fruits and vegetables, manually and independently determining what quantity is needed based on order history, customer requests, shelf life, and forecasting of future requirements.
- You will perform database maintenance by verifying outstanding dues for validity.
- You will notify FLCJ when large discrepancies in price of items on the MSIR are noted and notifies warehouse COR when discrepancies are detected in the warehouse.
- You will determine what low demand food items will be depleted and new food products to bring into the stock system for this location.
- You will respond to a variety of customers, supervisor, vendor, DSCP and DFAS inquiries, researching problems with discrepancies in verifying invoices, receiving and issues of materials.
- You will alert inventory managers or supervisor of serious discrepancies and gaps in reported transactions.
Requirements
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Familiarized with general inventory procedures and discrepancy reporting; 2) Ability to use computer programs and be able to communicate with Fleet Logistics Center personnel; 3) Managing customer expectations and ability to answer logistical questions about material being received in the warehouse.
