Manufacturing Engineer
ROLE OBJECTIVEThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods andprocesses to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role leads manufacturing-related projects through comprehensiveplanning and execution, ensuring timely and on-budget completion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-Researches, designs, and develops manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods,tooling, and equipment, to enhance operational performance. -Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, designing equipment andworkspace layouts for maximum efficiency.- Leads the manufacturing aspects of new product launches, including establishing production processes, tooling,fixtures, and all assembly information.-Ensures all manufacturing projects and change activities align with and meet the Operations department'srequirements.-Initiates and implements continuous improvement initiatives for both manufacturing processes and productdesigns.-Executes change activities through CR/CN (Change Request/Change Notice) systems to effectively supportproduction needs.-Collaborates with Engineering to design specialized test equipment to support Product Development and ProcessDesign initiatives.-Conducts in-depth product/process analysis and troubleshooting to drive cost reduction, quality improvement,and enhanced efficiency.-Determines product specifications and collaborates with vendors for the purchase of necessary equipment,materials, or parts, evaluating them against quality standards.-Provides management with critical data on production times and costs, and proactively communicatesmanufacturing capabilities and schedules to facilitate seamless production.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSExperience:2-4 years of experience as an engineer in a Manufacturing environment required.Education:Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) in Engineering or related field required.Technical Skills:-Proficient in MS Office-Proficient in a full-featured 3D CAD package such as Pro-E(preferred), SolidWorks or equivalent.-Experience writing processes and work instructions for a manufacturing environment.
