Director of Fulfillment and Facilities
Employment Horizons is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting people with barriers to employment in achieving their individual vocational objectives and establishing self-sufficiency in the community.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Fulfillment and Facilities to lead the Fulfillment Center, warehouse, and building operations that power meaningful employment opportunities for the people we serve. Schedule: Full-time, Exempt, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed to respond to building emergencies, weather events, or operational deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the fulfillment and facilities team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
- Develop and manage the department's annual operating budget, and ensure job billing is completed accurately and on time
- Build accurate job bids and quotes, and maintain proactive, consistent communication with customers
- Oversee production scheduling and workflow to meet deadlines, quality standards, and program participant needs
- Ensure compliance with Department of Labor, CARF, and other funder and regulatory requirements, including time studies under the agency's Section 14(c) certificate
- Maintain a safe, organized warehouse and building, including required equipment and safety inspections and collaborating with vendors for repairs and preventative maintenance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for building emergencies and after-hours alarm notifications
- Maximize opportunities for program participants through janitorial and vocational skill-building training
- Champion a workplace culture of inclusion, respect, and support for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role, with a proven ability to lead and coach staff
- Strong customer service orientation, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Comfortable working with numbers, including building accurate job quotes and bids and managing overhead, profit margin, and budgets
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Strong Excel skills, along with general proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced operational environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, including the ability to occasionally operate a 26-foot box truck
- Forklift, electric pallet jack, and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This position primarily works in an office environment, with regular time spent on the warehouse and fulfillment center floor, where noise levels are usually moderate. The employee regularly talks and listens and uses hands and fingers to type and operate standard office and warehouse equipment. The role requires driving. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
