Job Summary and Qualifications

The Product Analyst II (PA II) position supports the Hospital Based Service (HBS) Line of HCA Healthcare’s Clinical Services Group. The Product Analyst II focuses on implementing, enhancing and supporting specialty specific clinical systems across all HBS service lines with a focus on Anesthesia and Intensivists. The Product Analyst II will provide onsite training and implementation support for specialty specific clinical applications. The Product Analyst II will work closely with HBS operational leaders, providers and various other key stakeholder groups.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Analysis, Design Training and Implementations

Analysis – Supports the collection and documentation of user requirements by interacting with end users and internal stakeholders

Site Visits – Performs site visits at facilities ahead of implementations to gather key data elements and understand clinical workflows

Configuration and Customization - Works closely with software vendors (internal or external) to meet customer needs, configure and test the application, and prepare environments for go-live.

Virtual Trainings – Led virtual trainings with providers, hospital IT, pharmacy, operations and other key stakeholder groups

Onsite Training – Led and assist with training specialty specific clinical applications, such as Medaxion Pulse (Anesthesia) and NeoData (Neonatology)

Onsite Support – Provide at the elbow implementation support onsite at facilities for go-lives, when needed

Implementations - Works closely with the business to plan for go-live, ensure knowledge transfer and training, and prepare end users for initial activities within the system.

Product Support and Documentation

Product Support – Triages and resolves support tickets from end users related to questions and issues around the clinical applications.

Documentation – Contributes to the creation and maintenance of production documentation, including user guides, feature descriptions and knowledge base articles

Incidents and Requests - Escalates to vendor as appropriate, and coordinates resolution across all parties.

System Configuration - Completes configuration and access requests in a timely manner.

Customer Service - Acts with empathy to provide the highest level of service to resolve issues and answer questions for end users and other stakeholders.

Downtime - Supports business preparation for downtime and assists with downtime procedures when initiated. Prepares disaster recovery plans.

Information Security - Supports security reviews/requests and maintains appropriate documentation.

Data Management and Integrations

Data Capture and Flow - Understands how data enters the system, where it flows, and what it means to better support any issues or data transmission failures.

Integrations – Helps supports data exchange between various HCA Healthcare systems, including Meditech and specialty specific systems, and understands the mechanisms facilitating the integration.

Product Maintenance and Enhancements

Change Coordination - Documents system maintenance and changes and works with senior analysts for approval and implementation

Enhancement Backlog - Handles intake of enhancement requests and works with senior team members to prioritize and determine feasibility.

Quality Assurance - Performs and documents testing of system changes in pre-production environments and performs smoke testing in production (when applicable).

Vendor Relationship – works closely with vendor (internal or external), actively participates in regular meetings, stays informed of product roadmap, and coordinates maintenance and releases.

Teamwork and Communication

Written Communication - Prepares formal email communications and other documents to be distributed to wide audiences (e.g. downtime messages, go-live announcements, release notes).

Collaboration - Builds relationships, communicates, and collaborates with stakeholders, personalities, and technical expertise (e.g. business leaders, end users, vendors, project teams, etc.).

Accountability - Motivated to work independently and holds self-accountable as an effective way to build trust and drive progress.

Other Duties

Performs occasional after-hours and weekend work for implementations, releases, and support.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

EXPERIENCE

1or more years of relevant experience - Required

1or more years of experience with clinical applications, implementations or support - Preferred

Knowledge of HCA Healthcare Information Technology Group processes & tools - Preferred

Exposure to Medaxion application – Preferred

Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience could be considered

TRAVEL

The job may require up to 50% travel.
