The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (BXDA) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Operations Unit as member of our Cleaning Staff, who will help in the responsibilities of cleaning and maintaining within the District Attorney Buildings.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Cleaning bathrooms, wiping down glass windows, mopping floors.Sweeping and vacuuming floors when assigned.Emptying garbage throughout cubicle areas, hallways, and various other areas.Cleaning Kitchen/Conference Room areas.Assist with other tasks in the Operations Unit as assigned.PREFERRED SKILLS:- High school diploma or equivalent- Must be able to lift 35 Lbs.- Highly motivated, self-starter- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent customer service skills.- Ability to communicate in a welcoming and professional manner.The City of New York offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance for the employee and his/her spouse or domestic partner and unemancipated children under age 26, union benefits such as dental and vision coverage, paid annual leave and sick leave, paid holidays, a pension, and optional savings and pre-tax programs such as Deferred Compensation, IRA, and a flexible spending account.

Qualification Requirements 1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or 2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above. Experienced (non-manager)
