We’re looking for someone who will thrive in a highly specialized cardiovascular and thoracic surgery environment where attention to detail matters more than patient volume. The right candidate will be a team-oriented LPN who enjoys investigating records, preparing thoroughly, and helping ensure every patient is ready for a successful surgical journey.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiovascular & Thoracic (CVT) Surgery practice. As a 3-Star Program, we take pride in delivering exceptional patient care through teamwork, preparation, and attention to detail.

  • You will manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results
  • You will schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider
  • Assist provider with physical exams and in preparation for physicals
  • Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients
  • Control inventory and monitoring of supplies
  • Record health history of patients and note abnormal conditions for physicians
  • Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician
  • Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

What Qualifications you will need:

  • A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred
