Are you looking for a rewarding administrative role where your technical skills help empower individuals across New Mexico? Peak Performers is seeking an Assistive Technology Assistant to support a vital state agency initiative dedicated to providing accessible devices and software to individuals with disabilities.
The Team You Will be Joining
You will be joining a dedicated team within a New Mexico state agency focused on advancing accessibility and inclusion statewide. This team operates a specialized Assistive Technology (AT) loan library that provides devices, software, and tools to New Mexicans of all ages. By maintaining these essential resources, you will directly support individuals with cognitive, visual, speech, hearing, mobility, and daily living challenges in achieving greater independence in education, employment, and community life.
Major Duties
- Manage the physical and digital organization, maintenance, and sanitization of the Assistive Technology device and software loan library.
- Assist technical staff with equipment procurement, document tracking, inventory logging, and labeling new AT items.
- Maintain office supplies, recordkeeping systems, packaging stations, and related service equipment.
- Support the preparation and delivery of program activities, community events, and outreach initiatives.
What Are We Looking For?
- Technical proficiency with computer databases, accurate data entry, and Microsoft software.
- Experience managing inventory—including ordering, tracking, storing, and dispersing items.
- Excellent internal/external customer service skills, clear communication, and a collaborative attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, squat, stand, sit, and operate standard office equipment.
- Prior experience with Assistive Technology or working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
Exciting Opportunity Details
- Rate: $26.50/hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Contract: Temporary (Target dates: September 21, 2026 – June 30, 2027)
- Worksite Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102 (100% onsite)
- Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Onsite / In-Person
- Other key details: Schedule aligns with New Mexico State Use Act temporary staffing provisions.
